IGAD FMs to Confer with Parties in S. Sudanese Featured

Addis Ababa October 13/2017 Foreign Ministers of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) are expected to confer with higher level officials of the government of South Sudan and opposition.

 Accordingly, foreign ministers of Ethiopia, Sudan, Kenya and Uganda will arrive in Juba for the talks, according to Ethiopia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

 The Ministers are going to engage in the discussion with the objective to support the implementation of the peace agreement in order to stabilize South Sudan.

 Previously, foreign affairs ministers from IGAD member countries discussed with Dr. Riek Machar, leader of the opposition SPLM-IO by traveling to South Africa.

 The ministers are consulting with South Sudanese stakeholders as per their consensus they reached during their meeting in July to strengthen collaboration for the implementation of
