Beijing May 12/2017 Prime Minister Hailemariam Dessalegn has arrived in Beijing today to participate on Belt and Road Initiative Forum.
The forum to be held from May 14-15 will confer on global economic cooperation with various leaders.
Leaders of states, ministers of international institutions, presidents and managers of various international financial institutions countries, international institutions, ministers, and presidents as well as managers of financial institutions are expected to discuss the performance of the project, international trade and investment.
Starting from the Chinese city of Shenzhen, the project will connect China with East and Central Asia, Africa and Europe.
What Africa gains and losses from the initiative and other related issues are also expected to be raised at the forum.
The project, which China says is a project that makes available finance, technology, investment and huge market opportunities for development activities, will help African countries in particular to meet UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) by 2030.
Meanwhile, Foreign Affairs Minister, Dr. Workneh Gebeyehu, and his Chinese counterpart have held discussion on the bilateral issues in Beijing.
The two sides have agreed to consolidate the existing cooperation.
