Goba July 17/2013 Some 60 investors with over 200 million Birr combined capital have been undertaking various projects in Ginir Woreda, Bale Zone of Oromia State since the last two years, the woreda investment office said.
Office Head, Sime Mekonnen told ENA that the projects are in the areas of agriculture, industry, agro-processing, hotel and tourism, among others.
Sime said the investors have received over 14,000 hectares land to undertake the projects.
He said the projects have already created more than 2,000 jobs.
Some residents in Ginir Town of the Zone on their parts said the investors are contributing share in the efforts to speed up development in the area.
