Gondar March 26/2013 Construction of the 72km Buhait-Dilyibza asphalt road is well underway in North Gondar Zone of Amhara State as per schedule at a cost of over one billion Birr, the road construction contractor said.
The road will link Dilyibza Town, which is the capital of Beyeda Woreda with Gonder Town.
Road project Engineer Yohannes Tamiru said the leveling of 43km of the road has so far been completed.
Construction of the road has created more than 700 jobs and it will be finalized within four years as per the time table set earlier.
Beyeda Woreda administration representative, Andualem Abate on his part said the road will contribute towards socio-economic development in the area.
He said the government has given prime attention to fulfilling the needs of the residents in the education, health, clean water and infrastructure development.
