Addis Ababa March 26/2013 The departing Tunisian Ambassador Mokhtar ChaouAchi lauded Ethiopia's contribution to the African Union in particular to maintain peace in East Africa.
While holding talks with President Girma Woldegiorgis here Tuesday, the Ambassador appreciated Ethiopia's efforts to ensure peace and stability in the area.
Ambassador ChaouAchi said Ethiopia's Growth and Transformation Growth is promising towards development.
The Ambassador also said Ethiopia is a country, where followers of Islamic and Christian religions live in peace and harmony, which is exemplary to other countries, according to a senior official of the Spokesperson's Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
President Girma on his part said the country will further strengthen ongoing efforts to maintain peace and stability in East Africa.
The President also said utmost efforts will be exerted towards success of the Growth and Transformation Plan.
