Goba March 23/2013 Construction of the 171km Eme-Lab-Gode gravel road , which links Somali and Oromia regional states is well underway, the Ethiopian Roads Authority said.
Authority Director-General Zayid Woldegebriel told ENA that over one billion Birr is allocated for construction of the road.
Zayid said construction of the road will fully be finalized at the end of the current Ethiopian budget year.
The Ethiopian government allocated the budget for construction of the road.
Meanwhile the 174km Ginir-Beredimtu-Eme gravel road constructed with over 802 million Birr is open to traffic.
The Ethiopian government allocated the fund for construction of the road, he said.
