Harar March 21/2013 Some 22 safe water projects constructed in East Hararge Zone of Oromia State with over 23 million Birr have gone operational, the zonal water, mines and energy office said.
Office Head, Ebssa Sadik told ENA on Wednesday that the projects are constructed in five woredas of the zone in collaboration with the government and NGOs.
The head said projects will give service to more than 80,000 residents.
He also said construction of 15 similar projects is underway with over 35 million Birr in collaboration with the government and NGOs.
The projects being carried out in eight woredas of the zone will benefit more than 120,000 residents when they go fully operational in the coming Ethiopian year, the head said.
