Negelle March 18/2013 A 41km rural road constructed in pastoral areas of Gorodola Woreda, Gujji Zone of Oromia State with over 37 million Birr has gone operational, the woreda roads authority office said.
Office Head, Jaleta Wata said the road links the woreda with Arero Woreda in Borena Zone of the State and Udet Woreda in Liben Zone of Somali regional state as well as main roads.
Jaleta said construction of the road was completed within 13 months.
The Oromia regional government covered the cost for construction of the road, which created jobs for more than 300 needy.
The all-weather road interconnecting 30 rural localities benefited more than 30,000 residents.
