Japan signs grant contracts amounting to 361,080 USD

  Addis Ababa March 12/2013 The government of Japan here Tuesday signed Grant Contracts for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP) amounting to 361,080 USD with three organizations. The contract is signed with Generation in Action Development Association, the Mih Lewetatoch Yebego Adragot Mahiber and the Scholars Association for Development. All the three projects focus on construction and expansion of schools in Oromia State. Some 123,310 USD of the stated sum will go for expansion of the Charo Gobeno Primary School in Jimma Geneti Woreda of Horo Guduru Wollega Zone. The second project is to help launch a new Shopha Bultuma Secondary School in Arssi Negele Woreda, West Arssi Zone by constructing new school blocks with funding of 120,503 USD. Some 117, 267 USD will also go for construction of the Sombo Primary School in the Hawagelan Woreda, Kelem Wollega Zone. Ambassador of Japan to Ethiopia, Hiroyuki Kishino and representatives of the stated organizations signed the contract.
