Bure Woreda March 12/2013 Safe water projects are being constructed in Bure Woreda, Illuababora Zone, Oromia State with close to six million Birr, the woreda water, mines and energy office said.
Office Head, Eshetu Terefe said the projects include, among others, development of 28 springs and installation of water pumping machines.
Eshetu said the projects are underway in 19 rural localities of the woreda.
Upon going fully operational after three months, the projects will benefit more than 4,000 residents.
Safe water service coverage will also grow to 75 per cent from the present 63 per cent in the woreda, he said.
