Gondar March 10/2013 Foundation stone was laid for a modern hospital to be constructed in Koladeba Woreda, North Gondar Zone, Amhara State with 35 million Birr.
The regional government allocated the budget for construction of the hospital.
Legal Affairs Advisor the State Chief, Merhatsidk Mekonnen and Zonal Chief, Gizat Abeyu laid the foundation stone for the hospital, which will give service to nearly 300,000 residents.
Merhatsidk on the occasion said the government is undertaking commendable activities in the efforts to achieve the MDGs in the health sector.
Gizat on his part said four hospitals being constructed in four woredas of the zone will go operational in the current Ethiopian year.
Woreda Chief, Amsalu Tigabu also said construction of the hospital will be completed within three years.
