Addis Ababa March 08/2013 The Public Financial Enterprises Agency said the four financial enterprises have earned over four billion Birr profit before tax during the first six months of the current Ethiopian fiscal year.
In a press conference he gave here on Friday Agency Director-General, Dr. Sintayehu WoldeMichael said the enterprises are the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia, Development ,Construction and Business Banks as well as Ethiopian Insurance Corporation.
He said the amount exceeds by 9.15 per cent compared to the 3.98 billion Birr profit secured same period in the previous year.
The amount decreased by five million Birr compared to the set target, which was 4.34 billion Birr, he said.
He said cumulative capital of the four enterprises has reached 204 billion Birr.
