Harar March 08/2013 More than 85 million Birr revenue was collected in Harari State from various income titles during the first six months of this fiscal year, the Regional Customs and Revenue Office said.
The Office told ENA that the revenue was collected from urban land rent, VAT and wage tax, among others.
It said the amount surpassed last year's same period by more than 38 million Birr.
Concerted efforts of stakeholders to collect tax on time and the increase in the number of tax payers contributed to the growth in the revenue.
