Dilla March 06/2013 Some 56 various development projects aimed at improving the livelihoods of pastoralists are being undertaken in Borena Zone of Oromia State with over 90.7 million Birr, the zonal Pastoralists' Community Affairs Office said.
Office Head, Berhanu Mamo told ENA that the government is undertaking various projects to benefit pastoralists in different areas of the zone.
Berhanu said the projects include, among others, construction of 24 primary schools, seven health stations, 11 veterinary health posts, nine water projects and five pastoralists' training institutions.
He said more than 453,000 pastoralists will benefit from the projects.
