Hawassa March 06/2013 The Hawassa Town Administration in South Ethiopia Peoples' State said it has collected over 400 million Birr revenue during the last six months.
Town Mayor, Yonas Yosef told ENA on Tuesday that the revenue is collected from direct and indirect tax as well as municipality services, among others.
Yonas said the amount exceeded by over 191 million Birr that of same period last year.
Tax reform program being implemented in the town, the increase in the number of tax payers as well as raised awareness on side of tax payers contributed to the growth in the amount, he said.
