EEPCo working to electrify towns in Western Tigray

  Humera March 03/2013 Activities are underway to enable urban areas in Western Tigray Zone get access to electric service, the Humera District of the Ethiopian Electric Power Corporation (EEPCo) said. District Manager, Muluberhan Woldemihiret told ENA that Rawyan, Ba'aker, Ruwasa and Dansha towns have benefited from 24-hours electric service. Muluberhan said 13 towns in Kafta Humera Woreda will benefit from the service at the end of the current Ethiopian year. The Manager said efforts are underway to enable Adi Remets and Maykadra Towns in Wolkayit and Kafta Humera Woredsa get access to the service soon. Launching of round-the-clock electric service in the zone helps to further strengthen investment and trade in the area, he said. Setit Humera Town had got access to the service last year.
