Over 25,000 residents visit heritage exhibition

  Dire Dawa February 27/2013 More than 25,000 residents visited an exhibition organized to display different cultural and historical heritages in Diredawa Town. The residents said that the two-week exhibition created awareness that the country is a center of civilization. They said organizing such exhibition helps to raise awareness among the public towards protection of heritages. Cultural resource development main work process owner with the town trade , industry and investment bureau, Mohammed Taha told ENA that the workshop helped to promote the heritages among the public. Mohammed said a modern museum will be constructed to keep the heritages in an organized manner as per the heritage development goal set in the five-year Growth and Transformation Plan. Representative of the Authority for Research and Conservation of Cultural Heritage with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Mamitu Yilma on her part said the authority will provide the necessary support towards success of construction of the museum.
