Addis Ababa February 26/2013 The fourth session of the Intergovernmental Ethiopian -Russian Commission (IGC) is being held in Addis Ababa.
The meeting will evaluate implementation of agreements reached at the 3rd IGC meeting in 2008 on issues related to trade, agriculture, mining, water and energy sience and technology, air transport, civil aviation, maritime, education, health and tourism ,among others.
Speaking at the opening of the meeting Water and Energy State Minister , Eng. Wondimu Tekle said that the meeting helps to further strengthen existing relation between Ethiopia and Russia.
Deputy Director of Asian and Africa Affairs Directorate with the Russian Ministry of Economic Development, Dr. Nailya Chernikcova on her part said that the panel helps to identify new areas of cooperation between the two countries.
The meeting will end next Thursday after signing various bilateral cooperation agreements and Memorandum of Understanding between the two countries.
