Maichew February Renovation of 640km rural roads was carried out in five woredas of Southern Tigray Zone during the last six months, the zonal road construction and transport department said.
Department Representative, Goytom Million said on Friday that the government allocated 2.5 million Birr while the public contributed labour support for renovation of the all-weather roads.
He said the roads interconnect 47 rural localities.
The roads will help farmers supply their products to market and enable residents benefit from health services.
