Hawassa February 21/2013 Construction of eight projects is launched at a cost of 300 million Birr with a view to upgrading the Hawassa Agricultural College in South Ethiopia Peoples' State.
Speaking at Cornerstone laying ceremony of the projects on Wednesday, College Dean, Dr. Yibra Beyene said that the projects include, among others, construction of classrooms, dormitories, library, laboratory, assembly hall and offices.
The dean said the projects will help the college improve the learning/teaching process.
Hawassa University President, Dr. Yoseph Mammo laid the foundation stone for the projects.
Dr. Yoseph on the occasion said the necessary support will be provided to complete construction of the projects.
Established 36 years ago, the college is providing first second and doctorate degree level training to more than 1500 students at present.
