Gondar February 21/2013 More than 196 million Birr revenue was collected from different income titles in north Gonder Zone, Amhara state, the Zonal Revenue Branch Office said
Office Head, Baye Abera told ENA on Wednesday that the revenue surpasses by 35 million Birr that of same time last year.
The revenue is collected, among others, from trade, agriculture, direct and indirect taxes, value added tax as well as turn over taxes.
He said awareness raising education is being provided to the public while activities are carried out to put in place efficient tax collection system.
The office is working to collect more than 326 million Birr until the end of the current Ethiopian budget year, the head said.
