Dilla February 20/2013 Revenue Office of Borena Zone in Oromia State said it has collected more than 52 million Birr revenue during the last six months.
The Office told ENA that the revenue was collected from different income titles in 13 woredas and one urban administration in the zone.
It said the amount exceeded by over 18 million Birr that of same period last year.
Some 44 million Birr of the stated sum was collected from direct tax while the balance was secured from indirect and non tax income titles.
Activities are underway to collect a total of close to 100 million Birr during the current Ethiopian budget year, it said.
