Mizan February 20/2013 Investors with over 100 million Birr combined capital have engaged in various investment activities in Bench Majji Zone, South Ethiopia People's State during the last six months, the zonal trade and industry department said.
The department told ENA that the investors are undertaking the projects on over 1000 hectares land in Mizan Aman, Menit Shasha, Guraferda and Majji woredas.
It said the investors are engaged in spice, fruits and vegetables development, hotel and tourism as well as industry sectors.
Some 126 investors with over 4.3 billion Birr aggregate capital are undertaking various projects in ten woredas of the zone since 1987E.C.
The projects have already created over 25,000 permanent and temporary jobs, it said.
