Bahir Dar February 17/2013 Over 27 million seedlings are being nurtured in Fogera Woreda, South Gondar Zone of Amhara State during the current dry season, the woreda agriculture development office said.
Natural resource work process coordinator with the office, Chalachew Molla told ENA that the seedlings are being prepared at 550 seedling nurturing stations.
Chalachew said the seedlings will be transplanted on over 2000 hectares land to restore depleted forest in the woreda.
Residents of the woreda, Nega Ferede and Abebaw Nadew on their parts said they are contributing share in forest development side by side natural resource conservation and seedling nurturing activities.
