Soddo February 16/2013 The Ethiopian Catholic Church said that it is undertaking various development projects in four zones of South Ethiopia Peoples' State with 73 million Birr.
Development Desk Coordinator with the Wolayta Sodo Diocese with the Church, Tesfaye Tadesse told ENA on Friday that the projects mainly focus on agriculture, safe water provision, education and health, among others.
Accordingly, construction of veterinary health facilities, irrigation projects, digging of water wells, construction of educational facilities, hospitals, health stations and health posts is underway in Wolayta, Dawro, Gamogofa and South Omo Zones of the state.
Tesfaye said the projects last up to five years.
Upon going fully operational the projects will benefit nearly half a million people, he said.
