Bahir Dar February 12/2013 More than 10.5 million tree seedlings are being nurtured in Dangila Woreda, Awi Zone of Amhara State, the woreda agriculture office said.
Natural Resource Work Process Coordinator with the Office, Walelign Dessalegn said the seedlings will be transplanted on an area of 938 hectares land in the coming main rainy season.
Walelign said the seedlings are being nurtured at more than 400 governmental and private seedling nurturing centers.
Some 95 per cent of the over seven million seedlings transplanted last year in the woreda have already taken roots, the coordinator said.
