Dendi Woreda February 12/2013 Various development projects are being carried out in Dendi Woreda, West Shoa Zone of Oromia State with over 30 million Birr, the woreda administration said.
Woreda Deputy Chief, Kebede Bejiga told ENA that the projects are in the areas of road construction, health, agriculture and safe water provision, among others.
Kebede, who is also head of agriculture office of the woreda, said so far construction of 25km gravel road interconnecting 15 rural localities has been completed.
Construction of 33km gravel roads, nine health posts, a youth recreation center and eight safe water and irrigation projects is well in progress, he said.
Construction of the projects, which is being undertaken in collaboration with the government, the public and NGOs, is expected to be finalized in the current Ethiopian year, he said.
