Bahir Dar February 08/2013 Some 229 million Birr revenue was collected from different income titles in BahirDar Town, Amhara State during the first half of the current Ethiopian fiscal year, the town revenue office said.
Office Manager, Kibret Mohammed, said Thursday that the set target was to collect 333 million Birr during the reported period.
The income was collected from land lease, business, land and house rent tax, among others.
The revenue will be used to construct roads, educational and health facilities, among others, in the town.
Efforts are underway to collect a total of 466 million Birr revenue until the end of the current Ethiopian budget year.
