Addis Ababa February 07/2013 The Ethiopian Investment Agency said it has licensed 395 investment projects worth more than 24 billion Birr during the first six months of this fiscal year.
Agency Public Relation Coordination Head, Getahun Negash said the number of investment projects licensed during the reported period has increased by 97 compared to that of same period in the previous year.
Some 85 percent of the licensed projects are owned by foreign investors while the rest are joint ventures, he said.
Getahun said the projects are mainly in the areas of industry, social service, construction and agriculture.
