Enterprise secures 10 mln Birr profit

  Hawassa February 07/2013 Artistic Printing Enterprise said it has secured more than 10 million Birr profit during the previous fiscal year (2004 EC.). Speaking at the 82nd founding anniversary of the Enterprise held in Hawassa Town, South Ethiopia Peoples' State, Enterprise Director-General, Teka Abadi said the amount exceeded the previous year same period by two fold. Teka said the income was secured from the service it provides in printing books, magazines, labels and commercials. He attributed the success to the preference granted to locally printed textbooks and raising the quality of services making use of modern equipment, among others. The Director said the Enterprise has been producing skilled human power for the sector through providing relevant training at the Artistic Printing Training Institute. The Institute has graduated a total of 500 trainees in printing technology, printing machine maintenance, printing cost estimation, graphic design and other short term courses, he said. Artistic Printing Enterprise was founded by Armenian by birth but Ethiopian national brothers in 1931 and confiscated by the socialist government, Derg in 1975.
