Dessie February 05/2013 Construction of a hospital being carried out in Kemise Town, Oromia Zone of Amhara State at a cost of over 22 million Birr is well in progress, the zonal health department said.
Department Head, Berhe Gebremariam told ENA that the hospital, being constructed in memorial of the late Prime Minister Meles Zenawi, is expected to be finalized after two months.
He said the regional government covered the cost for construction of the hospital.
Up on going fully operational, the hospital will provide service to more than 250,000 residents in the zone and neighbouring woredas in North Shoa Zone and Afar State, he said.
