Investors undertake over 125 mln. Birr worth projects

  Ambo Feburary 05 /2013 Three investors with more than 125 million Birr aggregate capital have been undertaking various investment projects in Dendi Woreda of West Shoa Zone in Oromia State during the last six months, the woreda investment office said. Office Deputy Head, Solomon Tadesse told ENA that the investors have received over 501 hectares land to implement the projects. The projects are mainly in the areas of agriculture, filling station as well as hotel and tourism. The projects have created more than 500 permanent and temporary jobs. More than 700 hectares site is prepared in the woreda for different investment projects such as agriculture, tourism and recreation, among others, he said. Investment projects undertaken in the woreda last year by 22 investors with 247.6 million Birr combined capital have created jobs for more than 1000 citizens, Solomon said.
