Addis Ababa February 1/2013 Newly appointed Ethiopian ambassador to Slovakia Fisseha Asgedom presented his letter of credence to President of Slovak Ivan Gašparovic, the Spokesperson's Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
The Office told ENA that Ambassador Fisseha on the occasion briefed the president on the prevailing peace, democracy and sustainable economic development registered in Ethiopia.
The Ambassador also urged the Slovak government to provide the necessary support to Slovakian investors with a view to enabling them engage in various development activities in Ethiopia.
President Gašparovic on his part said the Slovak government is keen to further intensify existing relation with Ethiopia.
Diplomatic relation between Ethiopia and Slovakia began in 1993.
The Ambassador will be based in Berlin, Germany.
