Woreda gets preparatory school

  Wolkite February 1/2013 Over 112,358 USD worth preparatory school constructed with the support of the Japanese government in Seden Soddo Woreda, South West Shoa Zone of Oromia State was inaugurated on Thursday. In a message delivered through a representative on the occasion, President Girma Woldegiorgis said the country has managed to register rapid and sustainable economic growth. The President said the government gives prime attention to reduce poverty, hence, it has put in place sound policies and strategies, which helped the country to register economic growth. The policies and strategies helped to undertake various development activities, which benefited the public. The school is part of the various development activities carried out making use of such policies and strategies, President Girma said. Japanese Ambassador Hiroyuki Kishino on his part said that the school will help to facilitate the teaching/learning process in the area. Ambassador Kishino said Japan will further strengthen support towards ongoing efforts to create skilled human resource. Meanwhile, a foundation stone was laid on the occasion for the construction of a technical and vocational education training institute.
