Addis Ababa January 29/2013 said that the area of land covered with crops exceeds 1.52 percent that of same period last year.
Tefera said there is plan to produce over 22.5 million tons main food crops during the reported period.

Agricultural affairs standing committee chairperson, Mohammed Abdosh on the occasion said the ministry has undertaken encouraging activities in public mobilization and increase productivity, among others.
Mohammed urged the Ministry to undertake integrated activities in collaboration with stakeholders to enable women and youth benefit from modern agricultural technologies and find solution to market related problems, among others, in pastoral areas.
