Philanthropist donates over 5 mln. Birr worth quarters to assn.

  Addis Ababa January 29/2013 A philanthropist here Monday provided in donation over five million Birr worth ground plus one house to Mary Joy Development Association (MJDA), engaged in supporting orphans and destitute elders. The philanthropist, Sara Andargachew, told ENA that the donation is made to support the Association in its efforts to support the destitute. On the occasion she vowed to assist six orphans here through providing 300 Birr each per month and also to adopt four children. Sara, who lives in the U.S.A, also called on all sides to join hands and support the needy. Association founder and executive director, Sister Zebider Zewdie on her part said that Sara's support is considerable in the efforts of the association to support the needy. MJDA is a non-governmental, non-religious, non-political and non-profit making organization. Mary Joy’s interventions focus on: HIV/AIDS, community-capacity building, and livelihood support.
