Nation secures 195 mln USD from export trade

  Dire Dawa January 29/2013 More than 195 million US dollars revenue was secured from export of live animals and agricultural products through the eastern part of the country over the past six months, Foreign Trade DireDawa Office said. Office Head, Tesfaye Hadgu told ENA over the weekend that khat, coffee, fruits, vegetables, cereals and oil seeds are among the agricultural products exported. He said the revenue obtained during the reported period exceeds last year's same period by 7.8 percent. Tesfaye attributed the success to the various measures taken to control illegal trade.
