AU welcomes appointment of PM of government of National Unity in CAR

  Addis Ababa January 19/2013 Chairperson of the African Union Commission (AUC) Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma welcomed the appointment of Nicolas Tiangaye, as the Prime Minister of the government of the National Unity in the Central African Republic (CAR). According to a statement AU sent to ENA, the appointment is an important step forward in the implementation of the commitments entered into by the CAR parties. The Chairperson reiterated her appeal to the parties to continue to demonstrate the required political will for the implementation of all their other commitments under the Libreville Agreements. She also reiterated her appeal to the AU member states and partners to provide the necessary support for the implementation of the political agreement, as well as all other agreements reached by the CAR parties in Libreville, according to the statement.
