Addis Ababa January 15/2013 The 100km Assosa-Kurmuk asphalt concrete road constructed in Benishangul Gumua State with over 502 million Birr has been opened to traffic, the Ethiopian Roads Authority said.
The Ethiopian government, Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa, the Saudi Fund for Development, financed the road project.
The Authority said the road links Ethiopia and Sudan.
Construction of the road, which is undertaken by Sino-Hydro International, a Chinese construction company, created over 500 jobs for youth.
