Ambo January 11/2013 Five investors with over 132.8 million Birr combined capital have engaged in various investment activities in West Shoa Zone of Oromia State during the last six months, the zonal investment office said.
Office Head, Feyera Megersa told ENA on Friday that the investors have received 502 hectares land to undertake the projects.
Feyera said the investment projects are mainly in the areas of agriculture, agro-industry and hotel and tourism, among others.
Upon going fully operational the projects, will create more than 500 jobs, he said, adding, 7211 hectares land is prepared for investment site in different woredas of the zone.
More than 280 investors with over 15.6 billion Birr aggregate capital have been undertaking various investment projects in the zone since the last couple of years. The projects already created over 11,970 permanent and temporary jobs.
