Dolo Bay Woreda January 03/2013 A health station constructed in Dolo Bay Woreda, Afder Zone, Somali Regional State has gone operational, the woreda administration said.
The health station has laboratory, delivery and surgical wards, among others.
Administration representative, Abelhak, Isak said the facility gives service to more than 25,000 people.
The representative said construction of the health station helped to increase health service coverage to 75 per cent from less than 60 per cent in the woreda.
Construction of two additional health stations is underway with over 5.6 million Birr.
More than 50,000 residents will benefit when all the facilities go fully operational.
