Debre Birhan January 03/2013 Investors with over 940 million Birr combined capital have engaged in agriculture sector in North Shoa Zone of Amhara State, the zonal environmental conservation , land administration and management department said.
Department Head, Ibrahim Habib said the investors are undertaking agriculture development on 4000 hectares land in all woredas of the zone.
Ibrahim said the investment projects, which are in the areas of crop, vegetable and fruit, oil seeds and forest development, as well as animal husbandry and fattening, among others, have created more than 2000 jobs.
The investors are undertaking activities to introduce modern agricultural technology among farmers in the areas, he said.
