Debretabor August 15/2012 Water project construction is well underway in Debre Tabor Town of South Gonder Zone at a cost of over 60 million Birr, the Zonal water resource development department said.
Department head, Dejen Mengistu told ENA on Tuesday the construction includes digging four deep wells, construction of three reservoirs and installation of 46.5 km of pipe line.
He said the facilities would provide service to 50,000 people in the town up on completion in the coming November.
The head said World Bank covered the construction cost of the facilities. Residents of the town have also contributed to the construction.
