Addis Ababa October 24/2013 Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) Development Bureau of Addis Ababa said it is striving to create jobs for 235,000 people during the current fiscal year.
In a press conference he gave here Thursday, Bureau Head Tilahun Worku said the jobs will be created in manufacturing, construction, agriculture, trade and services sectors.
Some 1.2 billion Birr loan will be distributed among micro and small enterprises with a view to achieve this goal.
He said the Bureau started to provide registration for unemployed citizens and engaging them in income generating activities service in one center.
According to him, the Bureau had created jobs for 222,000 people during the previous year, he added.
