Gambella September 13/2013 The Health Bureau of Gambella State said it has been undertaking various activities to control malaria outbreak following the rainy season.
Health promotion and disease prevention work process leader with the bureau, John Kang told ENA on Thursday that anti-mosquito chemicals is being sprayed on over 112,000 houses starting from August in two phases.
He said anti-mosquito chemicals were sprayed on over 44,300 houses during the first phase which lasted for a month.
According to him, bureau is spraying anti-mosquito chemicals on over 67,790 houses as of Thursday 12 September 2013.
The Bureau has set target to distribute over 83,000 mosquito nets among the households in malaria prone areas after a month.
