Ireland assists Safety Net Program
Addis Ababa, March 13, 2010 (Addis Ababa) - Ethiopia and Ireland here Friday signed a grant agreement amounting to 9.55 million USD , the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development (MoFED) said.

The grant will be used to support the Productive Safety Net Program that would benefit people at 300 woredas in seven regional states and in Dire Dawa City Administration.

Similarly, the two governments have signed same day a grant agreement amounting to 4.08 million USD for the development program to be carried out in Tigray State.

MoFED State Minister, Ahmed Shide and Head of Department of Irish Aid, Colleen Wain Wright signed the respective agreements.
