Farmers engaged in animal fattening in Adola rede woreda of Guji Zone, Oromia State have secured 29 million birr over the past seven months, the woreda animal resource development, marketing agency said.

An expert with agency, Mulat Kebede told ENA that the obtained sum surpassed last year’s same period by more than 10 million birr.

More than 2,810 farmers have been engaged in animal fattening.

He said trainings on animal resource management and fodder development have been offered to farmers.

Mulat said development agents are providing professional support to farmers. Some five vet posts are delivering services.
