The 10th Regular Session of the Benishangul-Gumuz Council of State ended here on Tuesday approving a 607.9 million Birr budget for 2003 Ethiopian fiscal year.

Of the total, the federal government has allocated 462.9 million Birr while the balance will covered by revenue to be secured from the state and foreign aid, according Council Speaker, Seifedin Haron.

The budget approved is greater than that of last year's by 145.7 million Birr.

The council has also approved the appointment of 33 high and woreda court judges.

It also gave certificates to 99 members of parliament who concluded their tenure.
