Volvo Sets to Deliver Trucks Derba Cement In Ethiopia
Addis Ababa, January 16, 2010 (Addis Ababa) - Volvo Trucks has signed an agreement to deliver trucks to Derba Cement in Ethiopia. The customer is aiming to buy approximately 1000 trucks and an order has been placed for 550 trucks to be delivered during 2010, a website called cisionwire.com reported. .

"This is a major order that besides trucks, includes supplying transport competence development and building a service organization and a spare parts supply system", says Stefan Tilk Area Director North Africa & Middle East.

There is a shortage of cement in Ethiopia and Derba Cement is in the process of increasing its production capacity and a new production facility is planned to be completed late 2010. January 15, 2010
