Addis Ababa, November 25, 2009 (Addis Ababa) -The Ethiopian Roads Authority (ERA) said construction of the 114-km Dansha - Humera road launched at a cost of 410 million Birr is nearing completion.It said the road being constructed through the third road development sector program, connects Ethiopia and Sudan.
The road is being constructed by a Chinese based company, HUNAN AND HUNDA.
Work on consultation and monitoring is being carried out by an Indian based company, SPAN CONSULTS and also a local company called BEZA CONSULTING.
ERA said the government covers the cost for construction of the road.
Road construction consultant and supervisor, C.S. Srivastrava said construction of over 75-km of the 114-km road has so far been finalized.
He said construction of the road will be finalized until next April.
